BREAKING: Violence Erupts at Methilhill Protest Outside Home of Convicted Child Rapist Councillor

A peaceful protest in Methilhill has erupted into violence tonight as more than 200 members of the public gathered outside the home of David Graham, a former Labour councillor who was recently convicted of child rape and is currently on bail awaiting sentencing.

Witnesses on the ground report that Police Scotland officers deployed drones, sealed off surrounding roads, and allegedly used force against protestor, including children.

Multiple sources have confirmed:

  • A young girl was allegedly assaulted and left bruised
  • A young boy was knocked unconscious by officers
  • Protestors were reportedly targeted for “making too much noise”
  • Police refused to remove David Graham from the property, escalating tensions

Footage and photographs received by The Grooming Files show lines of police officers confronting civilians, with protestors held back along residential roads. Drones were visibly deployed overhead as community anger intensified.

“They’ve just knocked a young boy unconscious.” — Live eyewitness message to The Grooming Files

“They’ve assaulted a young lassie… she’s bruised all over.” — Another witness from the scene

The Case Against David Graham

David Graham, aged 42, was convicted of multiple child sexual offences, including the grooming and repeated rape of a teenage girl, aged between 14 and 15 at the time.

Evidence presented in court included:

Graham sending the girl explicit messages and images

Coercing her into sending sexual images of herself

Engaging in unlawful sexual activity with her at bowling clubs, Edinburgh Zoo, cafés, public parks, and in his vehicle

Despite his conviction, Graham remains on bail at his home in Methilhill — the same address where public protests have now erupted.

Second Protest in Three Days

Tonight’s unrest marks the second major protest outside Graham’s home in three days. While Friday’s demonstration remained peaceful, community frustration appears to have escalated dramatically following police presence this evening.

Several protestors have allegedly been arrested.

Public Outrage and Demand for Action

Locals are calling for the immediate removal of Graham from the community pending trial, citing safeguarding concerns and what many feel is a lack of institutional accountability.

“This isn’t just about one man, it’s about a system that shelters power while children suffer,” said a local protestor, who asked to remain anonymous.

Police Scotland Contacted for Comment

The Grooming Files has reached out to Police Scotland for an official statement regarding:

  • The deployment of drones and police units
  • Reports of a young girl being bruised
  • Reports of a boy being knocked unconscious
  • The basis for any arrests or physical interventions

This story will be updated as more information becomes available.

Anyone with footage, testimonies, or injuries from tonight’s protest is encouraged to come forward.
