These days, my daily companion is a ’57 Nissan Micra lovingly dubbed Slushes, a name bestowed by my daughter, who seems to name everything in sight.

Strangely, even if a windfall turns me into a millionaire, I wouldn’t trade Slushes. Instead, my aspirations lean toward acquiring a plot of land, a converted van, and a cozy static caravan.
