Seeing Red!

The Upside of Market Downturns
When it comes to patterns and predictions in trading, I’m what you might call selectively perfectionist.
It’s been four years since I began studying charts and trends, and while I’ve traded only sporadically, I’ve poured countless hours into understanding the market’s complexities. Being neurodivergent has given me a unique perspective – an ability to see patterns and connections that others might miss.
The journey hasn’t been without its bumps—particularly one painful mistake that almost ended it before it began.
The Fall
Back in 2021, during the bull run, I was on a roll with hundreds of successful trades. But all it took was one trade—one big rookie error—to wipe out 100% of my assets.
That was my only loss, but it was a significant one. At that moment, I realised that if I wanted to be a successful trader, I needed to go deeper. I couldn’t just ride trends; I needed to understand the hidden forces driving them.

The Rebuild
After that loss, I committed to mastering the art and science of trading in my own way. I started from scratch, analysing patterns, studying correlations, and immersing myself in the cycles that shape markets and society.
I made a conscious choice to avoid outside influences. Instead, I taught myself through observation and relentless analysis, piecing together a unique strategy that I could truly trust.
The Comeback
Fast forward to October 2024, and I’m back in the game. I’ve spent 12 days trading, spread out over a month, and out of 57 trades, I’ve only lost once. I’m up 178% on my initial investment, and my approach feels more solid than ever.

A Different Perspective
I consider myself a non-traditional bear trader. Where others see red candles as setbacks, I see them as signals—indicators of deeper market dynamics that reveal more than green candles ever could. Each red candle is a chance to dive into a market’s psyche, an invitation to navigate complex trends and cycles.

The Lesson
Trading this way isn’t about beating the market; it’s about aligning with it in a way that resonates with my own style and vision. This journey has been as much about self-discovery as it has been about profit.
And for anyone wondering if you can make a comeback from a devastating loss: you can. But you have to be willing to dig deep, forge your own path, and turn your setbacks into stepping stones.
